Joe Tacopina is the founder and the Managing Partner of the Manhattan-based Law Offices of Tacopina & Seigel. He specializes in civil, criminal, and securities litigation. Before entering private practice, Mr. Tacopina was a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he prevailed in 39 of 40 trials. Having tried more than 80 cases by the age of 42, Mr. Tacopina earned praises from the media calling him the “hottest young criminal defense lawyer.”

Graduating from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Joe Tacopina obtained his license in 1992. He holds membership in the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Council, and the Judicial Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Tacopina also serves on the Legislative Committee for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  Throughout his career as an attorney, he has built himself as a highly capable leader and a committed legal professional.

Mr. Tacopina also specializes in securities litigation matters, which include regulatory disciplinary actions, arbitrations, SEC complaints, and the formation of brokerage firms. An accomplished attorney, he was honored by the National Italian American Bar Association. He volunteers as an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School and does lectures throughout the nation on an array of legal issues.
